Event Details – Straighten Out, Malton
Straighten Out, Malton brings a night of high-octane energy and rock history to life. This legendary Stranglers Tribute Band performs a powerhouse set that spans two solid hours, packed with classics that defined a generation. Expect to hear fan favourites like Peaches, Hanging Around, No More Heroes, 5 Minutes, The Raven, Walk on By, Straighten Out, and Down in the Sewer, all delivered with the same punch and precision that made the originals unforgettable.
The band doesn’t just play the songs — they become The Stranglers. From the growling bass lines to the swirling organ sounds, every note feels authentic. They even use the same vintage instruments that The Stranglers’ own Dave Greenfield made famous: the Hammond organ and Mini-Moog synth. Add in the sharp guitar riffs, the dual vocal “attack” reminiscent of Burnel and Cornwell, and the chemistry of seasoned performers, and you’ve got a show that’s as close to the real thing as you’ll ever get.
So, whether you’re a lifelong fan or just love great live music, this event is a must-see. Straighten Out, Malton will transport you straight back to the days when The Stranglers ruled the stage and the airwaves with their unique mix of punk, new wave, and attitude.

A night that feels like stepping into a time machine, taking you back to the gritty, glorious days of late 1970s rock. You’ll find yourself singing along, tapping your feet, and grinning as the memories flood back.
