Take Me, one of the UK’s fastest growing private hire ride companies with offices in over 30+ locations nationwide, is proud to share an exciting update on its ongoing charity partnership with The Rosie May Foundation. As part of their 2025 “Charity of the Year” mission, the Take Me team – from drivers and office staff to loyal customers – has been raising funds to support the Foundation’s incredible work in Nepal, specifically the goal of funding three electric pink Tuk-tuks to help female drivers gain independence and provide vital transport services in their communities.
Second Tuk-Tuk Funded and Delivered: Changing Lives in Nepal
We’re thrilled to announce that not only has the first Tuk-tuk already been funded and launched, but thanks to the continued generosity and effort from the Take Me family, a second pink Tuk-tuk has now been funded and delivered!
This second electric vehicle is now in the capable hands of 23-year-old Rupa, who has become one of the youngest female drivers in Nepal to own her own eco-friendly Tuk-tuk. Rupa, who is married with a three-year-old daughter, shared her heartfelt thanks with us:
“Thank you to all the people at Take Me, and of course the Rosie May Foundation. This will change my life, my family’s lives and all the people I can now take around, including children to schools.”
CEO of Take Me, David Hunter, was there to witness the emotional handover. “We are delighted to hit this second milestone,” he said.
“The smile on Rupa’s face as she was handed the keys to her new vehicle is reward enough for all the hard work fundraising the team here in the UK have been doing.”
The partnership between Take Me and The Rosie May Foundation is driven by a shared vision – to empower women and support communities through sustainable transport. Founder of the Foundation, Mary Storrie, added:
“We are changing lives in Nepal with the help of David and his amazing team at Take Me. Everyone connected should be proud of where we are at now.”

The Final Push: One More Tuk-Tuk to Fund
The fundraising journey continues, with one final vehicle still to be funded to reach the ambitious target of three Tuk-tuks. But if the passion and determination shown so far is anything to go by, it’s only a matter of time.
One of the driving forces behind this campaign is Jodie Wright, a proud ambassador for women in the UK’s Taxi and Private Hire industry, and winner of the 2023 “Women of the Year” award.
“I spend much of my time encouraging women here in the UK to consider driving as a career,”
Jodie said. “So, I passionately understand how this opportunity can uplift and transform the lives of women like Rupa. Our next mission is to keep pushing – I’m even planning to bring one of the pink Tuk-tuks to the Wellingborough Carnival in July to highlight this work to my local community.”
